Today we are spotlighting Marcus, one of our =PR= employees! Marcus played football from age 7-24 and now he focuses on staying healthy and active by working out in the gym. We are inspired by Marcus' dedication to fitness and can't wait to see him achieve all his 2024 goals! Read on to learn more about Marcus and his fitness journey.
What do you do to stay active?
I’ve started to go to the gym about 2-3 days out of the week. I focus on cardio by doing at least a mile of walking and running and various other workouts.

Tell us about your fitness journey!
I played football from age 7-24. Once I left the school I was going to, I wanted to transfer to another but I ended up hurting my sciatic nerve. Once I did that, I gained a ton of weight (this was 2017) and ultimately I got myself back in the gym by focusing on my core to help my back. Since then, I’ve fluctuated with my weight and even in 2020 I went on a keto diet and lost 30 pounds in 3 months and now I’m trying to do the same thing.
Can you give one piece of advice to someone who is looking into getting active?
It’s simple just get up and do it. Half the battle is mental. Once you get going and make a schedule that will always help and the sky’s the limit after that.
What are your 2024 fitness resolutions or goals?
My main goal is to lose 30-40 pounds by April and I believe that is possible if I stay disciplined.

Just go for it! Life is too short it really is.
