Come by PR Leesburg on Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:30 PM for a new challenging fun run… join us for Hump Day Hills! Our PR Leesburg staff will take the group out for a hills work-out. We’ll run about a mile to a hill, and from there do a handful of repeats anywhere from 2-8 depending on fitness level, then we’ll run back to the store for some refreshments. This is a great way to throw in a workout mid-week! All levels are welcome to join us!
The energy of #boost will make you fall in love with the #3StripesStyle of Adidas during our 4-mile Fun Run around the National Mall featuring the all new Supernova. After the run enjoy drinks, light snacks, and a game of “Boost Ball” against the =PR= DC staff for a chance to win some sweet Adidas swag.
Rules of The Game: Boost Ball is a game derived from Cornhole and Beer Pong and the theme is based on the #3StripesStyle of Adidas Athletic Wear. Participants will have three chances to get the Boost Ball into one of three goals (three different sized foam rollers standing on end). Players must bounce the Boost Ball from a selected distance into one of the three goals. Each miss of the three goals is a loss of a stripe (strike). If a player hits the rim only of a goal, 1 point is awarded. If a player gets the ball into the cylinder of a goal, 3 points will be awarded. The game is over when everyone has lost all of their stripes, thus “three stripes and you’re out.”

The Burke Hump Day Dash is a weekly social run lead by =PR= staff members, every Wednesday evening at 7pm. The free program is a great way to meet new people and add some structure to your training schedule. Whether you’re a beginner or a competitive runner, please join us for a fun, low-key run that’s safe and social.

Teams of 4 compete on an 8-mile relay team while consuming a dozen doughnuts! Each person will run a mile, consume doughnuts, and run a mile back to the start to hand-off to their teammate. Every team must consume a dozen donuts — any way they want! Three people eat one and one person eats nine? Eat a bite and run back to stiff your teammates? All is fair in run and doughnut.
B-Doughnut from Leesburg will be on hand with their acclaimed doughnuts including a special Old-Ox beer glaze.

Come out for a 3-4 mile Tuesday fun run to meet other runners and learn more about the 101/201 =PR= Training Program! Whether you are just starting to run or you are a seasoned runner, 101/201 is great for all paces and abilities. There will be a short welcome by Coach Tammy and then you’ll have a chance to run and meet other runners or reconnect with friends. The spring program starts the week of March 13th.

Join us at =PR= Reston and Dr. Jane Pavalkis, DC from Beyond Wellness for a Saturday afternoon injury screening. Dr. Jaclyn Polk will be available to talk through any injury related questions you may have or advice you may need on recurring pain. She will also discuss the importance of foam rolling and the proper way to successfully use one!
A little about Dr. Pavalkis:
Dr. Jane Pavalkis spent most of her childhood years in Rockland, Maine. She grew up in a sports oriented family and pursued her B.S. in Sports Medicine in 2012 from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA. Wanting to further her education, she attended New York Chiropractic College, finishing her clinical experience at the Rochester New York’s Veteran’s Medical Center. Dr. Pavalkis is always actively pursuing the latest research in patient centered care, in order to provide the very best possible treatments for her patients. Dr. Pavalkis enjoys spending time participating in Crossfit, as well as local road races. She is certified in RockTape, is an ACSM Exercise Physiologist, and a CrossFit Level 1 Coach.
