10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, RUN… Happy New Year!

The New Year is fast approaching which means it’s time to refresh, reset, and restart for the upcoming year! Ready to start setting some goals for the new year? Us too! Follow these simple steps for setting goals and sticking to them.

Start Small

It’s easy to get caught up in all the resolution hoopla! So start by setting some mini goals and chase those down first. Then, once you have a good grasp on things, you can start pushing for even more and more. Sometimes you just need to start small before you go big….

Think Big

No photo description available.

You know the saying if you dream you can do it… well go on and dream big and go for it! The only thing stopping you is YOU. So pump the breaks on the self-doubt and instead make room for some awesome dreams and even bigger goals! We can’t wait to hear what you take on this year!

Recruit A Coach

Unless you are a professional runner more than likely you don’t have a coach. But who says that coaches are only for pros? Coaches come in all styles, meaning you can hire a professional coach, personal trainer, or you can reach out to experts to help you along the way! Sometimes the best coach is the one right there in your friend circle. Need a little extra help getting started? Check out our team of coaches and come train with us! Learn more about our training programs, we can help you any step of the way.

Find A Cheerleader

Rah! Rah! You may not be scoring a touch down but that doesn’t mean you can’t use a little motivation from the sidelines to help you along the way! Finding a person that is going to be your go to positive polly is always helpful when working toward a goal! When you are feeling down or stuck in a rut, calling or texting your go-to cheerleader will help lift your spirits and get you back on track! So go on and find the person that will be there to say, "Go! (Insert Your Name Here) Go! You Can Do It!"

Look Ahead

Starting small is always good but don’t be afraid to look ahead at long-term goals. This will allow you to set small goals and prepare for your even bigger goals too! We like to map things out on a calendar so that it’s there to view and check regularly! For example, maybe you want to run a marathon this year, start by picking your marathon race then you can make goals to get there! It’s never too soon to map out your race calendar. Need some help selecting a few favorites, check out our race calendar

Ask For Help

There’s nothing wrong with asking for help. It’s not easy to tackle a new goal, start over, or even go above and beyond but sometimes you need a little help along the way. Reach out for help from training partners, friends, family, and us too! If your goal is anything walking, running, or racing related, we are happy to help! Find your nearest store location. stop in, and let us help you anytime!

Now, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, RUN! From all of at =PR= Run and Walk, we wish you a very happy new year and hope to see you on January 1st to kick things off at our New Year’s Day 5K!
