Potomac River Running is a family-owned, local business with eight area DC-area stores to serve you. Though our name says “running” you don’t have to love, or even like running to come see us! We offer a personalized fitting experience to help you select the right shoe for you — whether to stand at work, head to the gym, or run your first (or 101st) race. You’ll find apparel choices that work for your activity of choice too! Join us at =PR= Fairfax for our weekly Monday fun run at 6:30 PM. On Monday, March 9 our Superfeet rep will be joining us for our run to talk about the latest in the Superfeet product line. For over 30 years, Superfeet has helped people accomplish some pretty amazing things by changing the way their shoes fit, feel and perform. All their biomechanically correct products are based on the principles of podiatric medicine and can help a wide range of foot health related issues. You can even pick a pair to test while on your run! If that interests you, plan to arrive a few minutes early to get the correct insert. We encourage runners of all levels to join us for this 3-5 mile run around Fairfax Corner!
Have you ever heard folks talking about the ultimate all-around-the-clock race?! They may have been talking about the Ragnar Relay! Ragnar is the overnight running relay race that makes testing your limits a team sport. You and 11 of your craziest friends (or 5 of your crazier friends for an ultra team) pile into two vans and tag team running 200(ish) miles, day and night, relay-style. Only one runner hits the road at a time. Each participant runs three times, with each leg ranging between 3-8 miles and varying in difficulty. So, from the elite runner down to the novice jogger, it’s the perfect race for anyone.
Join us on Monday, March 9 at 7:30 PM for a Ragnar Relay info session. The folks from Ragnar Relay will cover the history of Ragnar, how the race operates, how to form or join a team, and provide a recommended packing list.
