A group of people who are passionate about fitness and our community.

Allow us to introduce you to our staff, one story at a time. #PRRunningFamily

We’d like to introduce you to Rory Duffeld / =PR= Tysons

I began running competitively at the age of 10 on my elementary school’s cross country team. From that point on I was hooked. Nearly 30 years later I still look forward to every opportunity I get to go out and compete. My favorite running memory is the year I competed in the Boston marathon and set a personal record. My family came with me, and it was so special having them there to see me finish.

I love running, but I also love coaching runners. I’ve gained a wealth of knowledge from my 10 years of high school track and cross country coaching. You really meet so many excellent coaches through the years, it’s a great thing to take advantage of the experience and wisdom around you. It’s also been really fun to coach adults as a =PR= Training Programs coach.

I’ve had the pleasure of working for =PR= for over 10 years, and have filled a number of roles in that time. I’m currently enjoying being the manager of the Tysons location. Additionally, I was the company’s accessory buyer for the last two years. So if you have ANY questions about products, I can probably help you out. Some of my favorite products we sell are Balega socks, GU Roctane for fueling on the long runs, and the Orb by Pro-Tec for massaging the hip flexor to improve flexibility and knee drive.

A fun fact about me is that I actually met my wife through working for Potomac River Running. She was a customer at the Burke store, and I was working there at the time. We are one of the 8 married =PR= couples that met as either customer/salesperson or co-workers.

Favorite Shoes: New Balance 880, Brooks Ghost, Hoka Clayton, and the New Balance Zante for speed workouts and races.
