Fun Runs

Potomac River Running sponsors several programs to support and grow the local running community. We offer low-key group fun runs in the evenings from all of our locations! Come out and join us after work or before the family dinner – get your run done with the support and safety of a group!

Join us at 6:30 PM (unless otherwise noted) for a low key group run. Store staff and members of various local training groups will team up to lead these runs. No matter your pace or experience, you should feel at home in the casual setting! The free program is a great way to meet new people and add some structure to your training schedule.

Whether you’re a beginner or a competitive runner, please join us for a fun, low-key run that's safe and social. The run is typically no more than 50 minutes, although 50 is not a magic number, we try to have runs go “out and back” so that everyone can start and finish together and run at their own pace with others of similar ability. New runners may only want to run a mile or two. Experienced athletes might do a tempo run. Occasionally some of the groups finish up at a local eatery for some “refueling.”

From time to time, =PR= and our vendors offer incentive and “reward” programs for Fun Run participants! Come to a run and learn what’s happening each month. The list below summarizes the current Fun Run locations and days/times they meet.
