Erika Nelsen, Store Manager
Hometown: Racine, WA Running Experience and Accomplishments: Erika ran for fun in college, and since moving to DC has started to get more serious about it. She has completed two marathons and is now working on getting stronger and faster at all distances - in fact you can find her at an Individualized Training session with PR Training Programs.... Favorite....quote: "Run fast and stay low."

Courtney Gavitt
Hometown: Windsor, CT Running Experience and Accomplishments: Before moving to the DC area after college, Courtney considered anything over 5 miles a marathon. After being inspired by DC's running fervor…and feeling challenged by every person that ever passed her on a trail, she joined Team in Training to complete her first marathon (National) in March, 2008. Courtney has since run a number of half-marathons, 10-milers and 10Ks and hopes to run her next marathon when she is injury-free, and faster than before. Favorite....: "Hip to nip"

Bethany Huber Hometown: Fallston, MD Running Experience and Accomplishments: Bethany began running recreationally in 2006. She completed her first marathon in 2008 (Marine Corps) and surprised herself by finishing 37th and qualifying for Boston. Her goal is to one day break 3:00 for the marathon. Bethany is studying to become a Certified Personal Trainer. Favorite....quote: "Expectation is a powerful attractive force. Expect the things you want, and don't expect the things you don't want."

Jessica Sauer
Hometown: Croghan, NY Running Experience and Accomplishments: High school track is where it all began 17 years ago for Jess, and in college she began to love longer distances -- 10ks soon led to 10 milers, half marathons (preferred distance) and then to marathon distances. Having completed two marathons just under 4 hours, her future goal is to one day Boston qualify. Jessica's running philosophy is more about relaxing and enjoying the run which she feels will allow her to run well into old age. Jessica calls herself a "zen" runner which most people find to be humorous. You can find her leading the Thursday night Ladies' Run. Favorite....quote: "Life is what you make of it. There is no time to be lazy."

Mary Pickering
Hometown: Blenheim, New Zealand Running Experience and Accomplishments: Mary started running and participating in triathlons in her mid-30s after losing 40lbs and figuring she needed to start taking care of her heart and lungs too. She considers her first triathlon (a women's only sprint) and Ironman Lake Placid in 2009 (completed six days after having lost her job and five weeks after breaking an elbow) as her greatest athletic accomplishments. She's a solid mid-pack runner, never races without waterproof mascara and is still on the hunt for a race photo that makes her look fast. Favorite....trick for motivating herself early on: an exciting book on an ipod and a rule that she could only listen to it while running.
